
Klaus Arntz has been chief sustainability and marketing director of the Ecotone Group (formerly Wessanen) – Europe’s largest organic and vegetarian food company – for over 10 years. Headquartered in France and with production sites across seven countries, Ecotone employs around 1,500 people.
During his tenure, the Group became privately owned, was the first multinational food business to join the B Corp movement and rebranded from Wessanen to Ecotone.
Klaus is at the forefront of driving the company’s mission, Food for Biodiversity, and championing organic, diverse and plant-based food. Under his direction, the company streamlined its product offering to only produce sustainable and vegetarian organic food while bringing the company back to growth and installing a sense of purpose and pride.
In his role, Klaus aims to drive positive change and make a real contribution by improving people’s lives and contributing to the planet. He aims make Ecotone’s organic brands the most desired in Europe.
Klaus embodies the Ecotone way of life. He adopts a vegetarian and organic diet and leads an active lifestyle.
Previously he was vice president for Dove hair at Unilever – where he worked for over 12 years. He ignited one of the most impactful brand campaigns of the century with the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty.
