Originally from Venezuela, Marité obtained a MSc degree in Food Technology from Lund Technical University in 2001 and a physical chemistry PhD degree from Lund University in 2005. She has over 20 years' experience in the study of biocolloid structure and function. Marité currently hold a double position leading research groups at the Biofisika Institute in the Basque Country, Spain, and Malmö University in Sweden. Through their work, Marité and her team at Malmö University aim to enable the green transition with food innovations for healthier people and planet.
